(#1) Amongst the list of TOP priorities, the Groom MUST
provide his guest list, along with the one from his family, to
the Bride and her parents. This task can really be quite time
consuming because it MUST contain the following:
a) an accurate listing and spelling of ALL names,
addresses (city-state-zip) legible writing or an accurate
typed list is "key"
b) full names must be written out i.e. Your Uncle Chuck
for instance must be written out as say: Mr. Charles Smith
c) include all children's names living at home for each
family invited (If you do not wish for children to be
invited -- then, do not list their names on the inner
envelope)
d) DO NOT invite more guests than what you have been
allotted (adhering to this simple rule can avoid much
conflict!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
e) present this list of guests to your bride or her
mother in a timely fashion (Much time is needed to address
all of the invitations so be PROMPT!!!!)
(#2) The Groom or his mother should request the names,
addresses, city-state-zip of all family or friends who will be
attending the Rehearsal Dinner (while the Bride's family MAY
give the rehearsal dinner, it is a commonly accepted practice
for the Groom's family to have this honor.
